August Update: Shipments #5

Hi dear friends,


We can't wait to finish shipping the rewards left in our warehouse, apologies if things are taking a bit longer than we all hoped! 


August has been a hot and exhausting month but we have continued to work on different tasks.

We explain some important points below:


A couple of weeks ago we wanted to post an update but we lacked more precise information about our suppliers and stores where we usually buy materials.


- In the first place, with the heat it has been doing all month, we have had to reduce the working day considerably throughout August.


- At the beginning of August we placed an order for cardboard boxes from our supplier, since a couple of references that we use to send the rewards and the stretch goals were running out. In August many companies close for holidays, including our supplier, who has been on vacation all month, so even though we placed the order weeks ago, they will send us the boxes we need this week, which is when they return to work.


Since then we have continued to send a few rewards with the boxes that we still had in the workshop, but since we did not have the large boxes where the Mastertbox and the stretch goals would fit, we have not been able to send more rewards for this reason.


We have to wait to receive the order of boxes to be able to continue sending the Masterbox rewards that remain to be sent.


Luckily we will receive the boxes on Friday, this means that we will resume the shipment of rewards that are pending.



PRE-PAINTED and TABLETOP PAINTED

Due to climatic reasons, during August we had to reduce our working hours in our warehouse and painting studio.

Luckily in our paint studio the weather conditions are a little better and we have been able to prime a large part of the main parts that are included in the Masterbox. This week we will order some paints which we lack to have them available in our warehouse and so once we finish priming all the pieces we can start painting immediately.


As soon as we start to give color the pieces, we will take pictures so you can see the progress. 

There is still primer work so we will start working hard with the brushes throughout September!

July Update: Shipments #4

Hi dear friends,


These last weeks have been hard, we continue managing shipments.


REWARDS SENT

Almost 75% of the rewards have currently been sent. We keep moving forward!


PROBLEMS WITH SOME SHIPMENTS, RETURNED PACKAGES FROM UK

About a month ago, we had a very large wave of returned packages, mainly rewards going to the UK.

After Brexit, the requirements that had to be met for shipments to the UK have not been very clear and each transport company has applied different policies and requirements. And then when they arrived at customs, the packages were simply returned to their origin.


This situation forced us to manage claims for all shipments that had already been paid to the transport company, and today we are still awaiting resolution of some of them. These procedures have taken us a long time and have caused significant delays.

We had to look for other options and it is currently solved. We are working with UPS for the rewards that go to the UK, their service is efficient and the tracking of the shipment is quite exact, since once the package is collected it is only managed by UPS, without any other intermediary partners.



RETURNED PACKAGES

Aside from UK packages, we have had some packages returned from other destinations.

We have managed each case individually, contacting each affected backer to be able to process the new shipment of their reward.

Some more special cases are still under investigation with the transport company to clarify the reasons for the return. All these procedures have required us to invest a lot of time.

For this reason, we have also looked for alternatives that provide us with a more efficient and safer service for you.

After making a lot of calls, sending a lot of emails and meeting with some sales representatives, we have finally decided to work with DHL for international shipments to Europe (except UK and Spain), America and Asia.

All these efforts have taken us a long time but it has been worth it, now it is solved and the packages are arriving at their destination in record time and the tracking of each shipment is practically in real time.


PLEASE NOTE, VERY IMPORTANT

We take care that all the rewards that are sent have the tracking number available on Backerkit as soon as possible, notifications are sent via email so that you can be informed. We take care of it so that you have all the information possible in the shortest time.

If you receive notification that your package is on its way, please check the tracking of your shipment and be attentive to receive your package.


If when checking the tracking of your shipment you have any questions about the status or you see that your package is stuck for too long, do not hesitate to send us a message through Kickstarter.

We will gladly verify it and make sure that everything is in order and that your shipment continues its normal transit.

It is better to make sure that everything is going well before a return of your package is made and you have to pay new shipping costs.



We trust that these improvements in the means for sending the rewards will avoid us having to invest more time in new procedures and you will have your reward in a shorter transit time with the shipment tracking updated and available at all times.
